PISTONS

Role: Director / Creative

"From the neighborhoods to the court, respect is earned."

The 2024-25 Detroit Pistons were in chrysalis. They had work to do, and they were ready to do it.

I was brought in to direct their anthem video—something that captured the hype without pretense. The tagline was simple: Do Work.

Doing the work isn’t glamorous—so we didn’t dress it up. Armed with decades-old Sony VX1000s, we hit the streets and courts, highlighting the people who “do work” every day.

We got Iggy to lend us a Stooges song, remixed by Kevin Saunderson. We got Babytron, Babyface Ray, JUS, and Big Sean. We filmed at a Bad Beat show and got sandwiches at Ernie’s. Turned knobs at Koltay’s and grabbed kafta at Dearborn Meat Market.

What we made is a love letter to Detroit—a community highlight reel that lives and breathes authenticity.
